My weekend excursion was 50 minutes away from Modesto, which turned out to a fantastic day!
Del Valle Regional Park in Livermore is a close, beautiful attraction for those who like to hike, canoe, kayak and fish. My wife, Jeannie and myself headed out early before traffic on Sunday morning. We were able to walk to the end of the lake and back, within a couple of hours, while taking in another of Northern California’s gold mine. If you haven’t been to the Del Valle Regional Park, I would encourage you plan a day taking in the sites. Finish the day with some wine tasting. Wente, as well as the Lone Dove (tell John, I sent you) wineries are very pleasing to visitors and great folks. Just to name a couple.
